Medication Technician - Med Tech

Department: Assisted Living
Salary/Hourly Rate: $19 - $22 Per Hour

Medication Technician

Full time: flex am (6:30AM-2:30PM) and pm (2:30PM-11PM)- 4-2 rotation required

The Medication Technician assists the resident with medications under the direct supervision of a licensed vocational nurse. Assists licensed nursing staff by performing routine care duties and activities of daily living for residents. You will assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising. You may assist residents with transfers, transports, and escorts as needed. You will keep rooms safe and orderly, this may include changing bed linens and making beds.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

  • Must be willing and able to successfully complete minimum 24 hours of Medication Technician training.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Prior caregiving/medication technician experience preferred.
  • Preferred CPR and active First Aid certificate.
  • Committed to delivering outstanding hospitality to residents, families, and co-workers.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to work in a heath care and CCRC environment.
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
