Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA
Full Time: 2:30 pm -11:00 PM Rotating 4x2 Schedule (4 on , 2 off)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for aiding the professional staff. Delivers direct care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.) as directed by the RN or LVN in charge. Always maintains patient comfort and safety. Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting for approximately 90% of the work day. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or shower chair, pushing up to generally 200 +/- lbs. Must be able to transfer, turn and position a resident generally weighing up to 125 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. When lifting over 35 lbs, you are required to ask for assistance. Occasionally push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs. May be exposed to communicable diseases including HIV and Hepatitis B viruses; industrial and household chemicals; offensive odors; and combative behavior.
